The first convent, a small house in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu was blessed in January 1975 by the Bishop of Vellore. From a simple beginning the Indian foundation has grown into the following:
Grace and Compassion Bhavan in Pondicherry is the Priory Administrative Centre.
Grace and Compassion Priory Tiruvannamalai has a hospital and an out-patient department, a home for elders, a crèche, farm and the sisters also help in the Parish.
St Benedict’s, Adaiyur, which is four miles from Tiruvannamalai, has a School of Nursing and a farm.
House of Peace, Yercaud near Salem provides guest accommodation and is used for retreats, meetings and conferences.
Our Lady of Light, Bangalore is the Novitiate House and has a home for elders and a farm.
St Scholastica’s Convent, Makkiyad in Kerala has a home for elders, a home for mentally challenged adults and palliative care, a small hospital, an outpatient clinic, and pharmacy, a hostel for students and a farm.
St Joseph’s Home in Piravom is the second house in Kerala and a new home for elders was opened in 2018.
The sisters are often approached with requests from Bishops or priests to help specific projects and the sisters are currently working at homes for retired priests in Pondicherry and Nagercoil.
