From the simple beginning in Brighton in 1954 the work of caring for the elderly and frail spread to other parts of England and by 1974 one sister was renting a small house near Colombo, Sri Lanka to care for the elderly. The first convent in India was opened in 1975 and in 1990 the sisters opened a house in Kenya followed by another house in Uganda in 2003. Read on to find out where the sisters are working now.
